52-Week Batterer’s Intervention Program (Penal Code 1203.098)

Introduction:

Our 52-Week Batterer’s Intervention Program, sanctioned under Penal Code 1203.098 and endorsed by the LA County Probation Department, is meticulously crafted to support individuals in acknowledging and transforming abusive behaviors within their relationships. Through a structured curriculum, participants are guided in unlearning harmful patterns and cultivating healthier communication and emotional expression skills, devoid of violence and intimidation.

Program Objectives:

The primary goal of our program is to facilitate the perpetrator’s journey towards recognizing, understanding, and ultimately dismantling abusive behaviors. Participants, whether mandated by the courts, probation officer, or Department of Child and Family Services, engage in a comprehensive process aimed at fostering personal growth, accountability, and positive behavioral change.

Program Structure:

Led by certified facilitators adept in addressing anger management and conflict resolution, our program comprises interactive sessions designed to delve into participants’ underlying triggers and sources of violence within their lives and relationships. Through a blend of psychoeducation, group discussions, and practical exercises, individuals are guided in exploring healthier ways to manage emotions and navigate interpersonal dynamics.

Group Schedule:

Women’s Group:

– Tuesdays: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Men’s Groups:

– Saturdays: 10:00 pm – 12:00 pm

Enrollment:

To enroll in our program, individuals must provide documentation from the courts, the Department of Children’s Family Service, or their probation officer.

Progress Monitoring:

Progress reports are available upon request and are provided to the referring agency, detailing participants’ comprehension of program materials, attendance, active participation, and application of learned skills in real-life situations.
